Hello loves! I wore this comfy outfit on Sunday to take the pup to the park. You would think that wearing white to a dog park is a bad idea, but oddly enough it wasn't any puppy paws that got this sweater dirty. It was the most fearsome foe to all my white clothing! That damn Coffee! I swear if it's white I'm gonna spill coffee on it. This is the second time I wear this sweater and spill coffee on it. Now I could easily prevent this by giving up my daily drug, but let's be honest that's madness. So for all my other coffee loving babes, I know the struggle to wearing white is real. Have an awesome Hump Day and I'll talk to dolls later.

Happy Friday! Hope you dolls had an awesome week. I remembered I had this gorgeous necklace that I rarely wear and wanted to center an entire outfit around it. Also, I've been loving the look those sweaters that have a little lace trim or sheer trim at the seam. I've seen them all over Instagram, and I thought they were really cute. So, I was looking through my closet and thought I could create that look. Pulling delicate pieces together is something I love to do. I believe that even the most delicate pieces can make a huge impact. Well, I wish you all the best of weekends. Talk to you later.

Happy Monday! I'm back with more GREY (surprise, surprise)! Hope you dolls aren't tired of it. I added a pop of blue this time. This cape / poncho was an easy DIY and only cost $1.50. I call it my fair isle cape! I got so many compliments on it after taking the photos. Every one I told was so surprised that this use to be a fleece throw blanket. I got it on clearance with the intent of making it into a cape. This way if it turned out well, I would head to Joann and buy some plaid fleece or some plaid wool and make another one. I don't like to spend too much money on DIYs if I haven't tested it out first. Also, its pretty warm. The temperature was 39°F yesterday morning and I used it to take the pup for a walk. I have to admit, even though I love winter clothing, I am one of those girls that gets cold once the temp drops below 67°F. I felt like I was wearing a warm, cozy blanket. I hope you dolls enjoy this post and I will talk to dolls later!

P.S. If you dolls want me to do a DIY post on this cape let me know below. I don't mind sharing.

Work Wear Inspiration: The Colorblock

Blazer: New York & co. (old) // Ring; New York & Co. (old) // Purse: Target (old) // Lips: NYX in Stockholm

A while back, a friend asked me about doing a post on work wear. I thought I would do a creative/ casual office look. I've worked in retail for almost ten years, and depending on where I worked the attire has been at different ends of the spectrum. My first retail job was pretty much office attire, because that's the demographic we targeted. We weren't allowed to look remotely casual. Whereas, another job required me to dress super fashionable and trendy. Well, considering I don't work in a traditional office, I decided  to give the look a happy median. Of course, if you do work in a more traditional office then you could definitely swap the jeans for a pair of black skinny pants. I would even go so far as to wear a pair of wide leg pants and a longer blazer with this sweater.

This sweater is a men's sweater. I found it in the women's section of Target and assumed it was a woman's sweater. After trying it on, I thought it was a bit to big to be a woman's small, but I still brought it home anyway. Once I got home I started searching for pictures of girls wearing the sweater and found out it was a men's sweater. I explained it to my boyfriend and tried it on for him and he said he liked it on me, so if he thought it looked great then others won't notice that it's not a woman's sweater. Have an awesome weekend loves and I will see you next week.

A Furry New Year

Happy New Year girls!!! So a new year is among us and everyone is writing out their resolutions and their goals, and I'm just over here like um... maybe I should do something like that. LOL! All jokes aside, I love reading bloggers resolutions and goals. I feel like it can motivate people to get moving when it comes to their goals. I normally make the usual resolutions, you know, lose weight, eat healthier, travel more, but I realize that I always fail because I don't have a game plan for my plans. Well this year, I think I need to become more organized when it comes to my goals.
A few night ago, I decided to sit down and write out some of the things I would like to accomplish this year. At the top of my list is growing this blog, getting a better job, and finally taking a real vacation. I've already gotten a head start on growing my blog. I've been reading a few books on how to make my blog better. I'm realizing how important organization and a schedule is to blogging. I did have a strict schedule, but when you start missing days here and there, all your organization falls apart and it's really hard to get back on track. Well, I going into 2016 with the goal of being more oraganized, more consistent, and spending more time on myself. Those things can seem so vague, but if we just hold ourselves to small things we can accomplish and build upon, then we can all better succeed.

On another note, the cold has finally reached Louisiana, and I can pull out my winter faves, like this faux fur vest. If you follow me on Instagram, then you've seen how much I'm loving this vest. Also I've been posting more over there than anywhere else on the Internet. By layering my peacoat over my vest I totally made the fur seem like it was apart of the coat. I always love making better use of items in my closet, or re-imagining them in completely different ways. Any-who, I hope you all enjoyed your new years vacation! Talk to you dolls on Wednesday!
