Recent Sale Buys

Sweater: Kohl's in store (cute options here and here) // Shorts: Target (in store) // Cognac Purse: Wal-Mart (cognac color found in store) // Boyfriend Jeans: Target // Blush Purse: Wal-Mart (blush/nude color in store) // Headbands: The Dollar Tree

Hello, loves! So I know I've been absent lately. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (username: xanmirvil), I've been updating more there. And since you've seen me mostly shopping on those platforms, I thought it might be fun to share with you some of my recent sales buys. Normally around this time, all of the summer clothes and accessories are on clearance and the fall winter items are hitting the sales floor in full force. Well, if you're like me and don't like to pay full price for anything, then you know that through all that summer clearance you can definitely find pieces that work for fall! So a with few trips to Target, Wal-Mart , and Kohl's I found some cool pieces.

Up first is the jeweled sweater. Not truly as big a trend as it was last winter and fall, but I still love them so I'm going to rock it. I have a gorgeous pale blue lace skirt that I'm thinking of pairing it with. Best part is that this sweater is most likely for last winter so it only cost $8.

Now, I bet you guys were wondering about the shorts. They were only $6 and they are not my typical style shorts. But hey, I thought why not. It doesn't start to get chilly in the day time until mid October here, so the summer heat is till going strong. So I can still get some summertime use out of them. Also, I thought it would be great to pair these shorts with a pair of tights, some combat boots, and maybe a long kimono or tunic to make it fall appropriate. Now onto the bags!!!

Neutral purses are another easy way to prepare for Fall. So blush is still a huge color for fall since last season, which is why I justify my soft blush purse purchase and the best part it was only $10. I can also transition this purse into spring next year. Next, I have the cognac/camel colored purse. This color is literally my go to neutral in the Fall and it can be worn all year round since the color is such a staple. I can't wait to pair this purse with my similar colored boots. This bag was only $11.
Like hello destroyed boyfriend jeans. This trend is still going strong and thank goodness, because I love them. They were on sale for $14. You gotta love that Target clearance rack!

And last, but not least, some cool headbands. I've literally been without simple headbands for a while now. I would always think about them, but forget to pick some up while I'm out. I got these at the Dollar Tree, so they were only $1 and you get 7 in a pack. These will be perfect for keeping my hair out of my face on windy days or on days when I wear my Afro and I want to push my hair back.

So, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and will keep coming back. I know this month hasn't been post filled. I just feel like my creativity has been feeling blocked. I don't know why, but it has. I read my horoscope for October and it was saying that I would get my creative juices flowing again, and that September was not the month for me. I thought this was funny considering how, I really did feel this way. I love reading my horoscope. I may not believe everything in them, but I feel that they can maybe push you a little bit to do the things you want to do and maybe give you an idea into some of the behaviors you exhibit day to day. Anyhow, love you guys and talk to you later!

P.S. Most of these items can only be found in-store, so you may have to do some digging! Also
Wal-mart links are acting cray cray, so just go to the website and search "george lil zipper crossbody" and George crossbody flap bag" for the purses.

Hello loves! Happy Thursday. So we are coming to the end of the summer and I couldn't resist one last summer look. Boyfriend shorts have been a true staple this summer. I found this great pair on sale at Target last week. They were only $10 and came in three different washes. I would have bought the other washes, but only these were in my size. Also, I see this look as the perfect transition to fall by trading out sandals for these booties. Anyhow, I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Saturday dears. So here's the last installment in the "one item, 3 ways" series. I think this look would be great for a casual date night. It's relaxed yet, put together. It has a cozy fall night feel to it. If the wedges are too much for you, they could easily be traded out for a camel colored flat ankle boots. Anyway you spin it, I've loved styling this jumpsuit in various ways. If you loves like this post let me know below, and I'll definitely incorporate more posts like this! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Hey loves! Happy Thursday. So here is the second look in my "one item 3 ways" series. This look is a little more sexier and you get to see the full jumpsuit. I would totally wear this to a night out with the girls or to a concert with the BF. The outfit looks a bit rocker/ glam. If you wanted to amp this look up, you could add some beautiful chandelier earrings, and add some loose waves to your hair (oh, and maybe an electric guitar, LOL!). Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this look, and I will be back with the last look in this series! Thanks for stopping by!

One Item 3 Ways: The Jumpsuit: School / Casual Look

Sweater: New York and Co. (similar here and here) // Jumpsuit (worn as pants): Ross (similar here and here) // Booties: 579 (similar) // Necklace (actually a belt) : New York and Co. (similar) // Bangles: mix of stores (cute and cheap option here) // Purse: Target (no longer available)

Hello loves. So as I promised last week, I am back with an actual outfit post. When I was putting this outfit together, I was thinking "how can I transform this jumpsuit?" "How can I make this more versatile?"  That's when I thought about styling it three different ways. I really like this jumpsuit and it was only $11 at Ross. The colors are perfect for fall and speak to the bohemian in me.

This look was inspired by a back to school/college girl look. This jumpsuit looks pretty sexy on its own, but this tones it down alot. If you are a person who is afraid of all over pattern/print, then this is an easy way to try it. A loose sweater and some comfortable boots keeps you looking casually cool. And if you love accessories like I do then, of course you want to add a statement piece. I thought i wanted something that was interesting, stand out, yet be super simple. So I pulled out my chain belt that I bought a few years ago and turned it into a necklace. The chain belt (worn as a necklace)n just adds a little hint of glam to a very casual outfit.

I hope you guys enjoy this post and I'm glad to be back. Next post will feature the jumpsuit in its second outfit, so stay tuned for that. Thanks for stopping by, love you guys!

Bathroom Declutter

Hello loves, I know its been a while since my last post, but I hope you all have been okay. Today's post is quite different from my normal posts. So,  I decided to clean my bathroom cabinets one day and thought, "hey why not film it". This is the first time I have ever done a video. Excuse me if the quality is not that great, but like I said it is my first time. Next week I will be back on track with my normal OOTD posts. For now, I hope you guys enjoy this video and maybe find it useful. Also, you get to put a voice behind my words now! Talk to you later and thanks for stopping by.
