Happy Friday loves. I hope you all are well. I was off from work yesterday and decided to wear some sequins. I wanted to be casual but still rock some pretty sparkles. Trying to wear sequins during the day can be hard. Yet, if  you pair it with casual jeans and a tough looking pair of boots it totally works. Have an awesome weekend loves and I'll talk to you later.

Hello dolls. I know it's been over a week since my last post, but honestly I hadn't been able to fit any in. I was extremely tired. Also, I hadn't been feeling inspired to write. I feel like I was suffering from a mental block. Hopefully, now I will be able to take more photos since I quit my second job. Remember how I told you guys I worked all day on Saturdays and Sundays, well that was the reason why. I literally worked from 9 am till 9 pm. Lately the hours hadn't been there so I was rarely working and decided it was just time to let the job go. Also my part-time gig was never meant to be for a long time, but I think I became complacent. The shortage of hours helped me realize that. My career has also been stagnant.

Being in retail management has taught me a lot, but it's not where my heart truly is. I love visual merchandising (I have a B.S in Fashion Merchandising and History) and that's one of the reasons I've been in retail. It was a way for me to do my passion while earning money and adding great experience to my resume. Though, the more you become involved in management, the less you get to be creative. It's all about the numbers. Plus, the number of hours you're standing wreaks havoc on your feet. Hopefully this revelation is the start to something great, and I can get back on track to what I really want to do. I hope you guys understand and stick with me and this blog. Thanks for stopping by and reading my personal rant when you were probably expecting me to talk about the outfit. Love you guys!

P.S. This dress has been worn before here.

Happy Saturday!!! I hope you're having a great start to your weekend. As promised on Instagram here is my colorful post. This has to be the cutest, most colorful place in all of Lafayette. This is Parc Sans Souci. This is across the street from Parc International the central spot where Festival Internationale is held every year. The boyfriend and I love to scout out great places to shoot and this one was a gem! I think it matches my outfit pretty well.

So onto the outfit. I've had this dress in my closet for about a year or so. For some reason, I kept putting off wearing it. I love florals and I love ruffles. So why I hadn't worn it yet, I don't know. I'm glad I finally did though. The BF thought I looked stunning. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this little piece of where I live. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Throw // Earrings // Patient Print // Sunglasses //
Watch // Necklace // Gift Set // Purse

Hello loves! Mother's Day is around the corner (four days away to be exact). I wanted to share a small gift guide with you guys if you haven't bought a gift yet. I know my mom would be happy with just a visit from me since we don't see each other much. But I do know that my mom would also enjoy anyone of these gifts, especially the earrings, sunnies, and bag! My mom can't live without her sunnies and a good cross-body bag.

I hope this helps inspire you when doing your shopping. I will be back on Friday with an outfit post. Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin' and Instagram! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy May (It's my Birthday Month)!!! TGIF right! You all must be screaming it from the roof tops. This week has been great overall so I'm not complaining. I mean the BF and I  had one of the best dates in a while. We both had Tuesday off, so we decided to get lunch at Pat's Downtown in downtown Lafayette. When we got there, we could only choose from a limited menu. Everyting we wanted they didn't have time to make because they were closing up. So we just left. We were going to walk futher downtown, but literally a few feet down we saw Pamplona Tapas Bar. We passed this place many times before but we thought it was really expensive. To our surprise it wasn't. The menu was posted outside the door which made us walk in. I had the Garlic Shrimp. I posted a pic on Instagram.

Anyhow, this is what I wore that day. Oddly enough, it wasn't that hot outside. I did a little mixing of floral prints. There is a small floral print on my boots. I really didn't over-think this look. I just thought "throw something easy on so you can get out the door." The BF was happy he didn't have to wait hours, LOL! He said, "Why can't you get ready this quickly all the time?" Men can be so silly at times. Getting ready is a process, and if you are a blogger it's an event (LMBO)!

Ok loves, have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin', Instagram, and Pinterest.
