Hello my lovely readers. It's Wednesday, Hump Day. May all of you have strong coffee to get you over the hump. That's how I tackle Wednesdays!

I wanted to show you guys what I wore on Sunday. The BF and I were out and about and I wanted to wear my jumpsuit. Had I known he was going to be off yesterday with me, I would have worn it then. But oh well.... I was going to style it more casually, but I wanted to style it more dressy for it's first appearance on le blog. This jumpsuit has got to be the most comfortable thing. The stretchy cotton material is so breathable. In Louisiana spring/summer weather that's mighty important. It also has pockets, which makes me very happy. It's like when you find a dress that you really love, it's pretty comfortable, can be styled different ways, and then you discover there are pockets. It's like jackpot, best purchase ever. I've linked the exact jumpsuit above if you would like to purchase it. Just click the New York & Company link. I've also linked similar ones in the widget below.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate every single one of you guys! Also don't forget to follow me on Pinterest, Instagram and Bloglovin'!

Happy Monday dolls! I hope you all had an awesome weekend. I sure did. This past weekend Lafayette held its annual Festival Internationale. The BF and I went on Saturday and it was great! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know posted a few pics while at the festival. Sunday I spent the day at home cleaning my apartment. House cleaning may not be the funnest thing to do, but it needs to get done. And doesn't it feel better to be organized. I still have a bunch of organization projects to tackle, but a clean apartment makes it much easier.

Okay so onto this outfit. Doesn't it feel awesome when you get items on sale. It's like "whoohoo, now I have extra cash to buy more stuff! It feels even better when you get a top and bottom together under $15. And that's what happened to me last week when I went to NY and Company. They were having a major 80% off clearance sale and they had really good stuff. I posted a pic on Instagram of the outfit I tried on at NY and Company feat. this sweater. That's the outfit I got for under $15.  This sweater is lightweight and feels so breezy. You can dress it up or dress it down. It's perfect to throw on after a workout, and just as nice to wear on a date. I love picking pieces with major versatility.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy your Monday. Don't forget to check out the clearance sale going on at New York and Company and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin', Instagram, and Pinterest.

Buying and Wearing Flared Jeans

Outfit Details | Top: Forever 21 (old, pretty options here and here) // Jeans: Personal Identity via Sears (old, similar) //Heels: Charlotte Russe (old, these are cute) // Sunglasses: The Dollar Tree (similar here and here) // Purse: Big Buddha (old, similar) // Necklace: Charming Charlie (old, similar) //Bracelet: Target ( last year) // Earrings: Charlotte Russe

Hello loves, Happy Hump Day! You know how every girl has that one pair of jeans in her closet that somehow fits great even after you've gained a little weight or when it seems that every other pair has betrayed you, well this is my pair! I've had these jeans since I was a sophomore in college (that's 8 years ago!!!) They were on sale for $10 and they were too long (that's why there is a bit of fraying on the bottom) but, I figured hey at $10 I'll be okay. I've honestly fallen back in love with these jeans. When I was in college, boot cut and flare jeans were my faves to wear. I felt that they always made me look taller and leaner. I'm 5'8 and I still wish I was about an inch or two taller. These 2 styles were also comfortable for walking across campus, especially in spring and summer. Wet skinny jeans sticking to your legs are not cute.

So if you're looking for a change in your skinny jeans love affair, try a pair of flared jeans. When shopping for a pair remember these tips:
  1. Make sure they fit nicely over your thighs and down to above your knees, then flares out right above them. Honestly this is the key to looking taller.
  2. Bring a pair of heels with you so that you know they will be long enough to graze the tops of the heels in your closet.
  3. Pair them with a pair of chunky heels like I have, it helps the flare at the bottom look better.
  4. A higher rise also make you look slimmer, makes your waist appear smaller, and can give you an hourglass shape.
I hope you guys find these tips helpful. Thanks for stopping by and I'll talk to you later. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram, Bloglovin' and Pinterest.

Sleepless in Louisiana

Happy Monday. You guys may be wondering, "why the title"? Well, it's the hairstyle I'm rocking in these pics. Last Thursday night I was watching Sleepless in Seattle and I was admiring Meg Ryan's hair and thinking "I wanna put my hair like that." Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) had some beautiful hair for the early 90s. Remember how she wore those low braids with small soft curls in the front. She had the prettiest hair. It was a mix of romantic feminine and easy bohemian. Now that hair braids and twists are a huge trend, I thought that the character of Annie Reed is perfect inspiration. I also decided to add some hair flower pins to my hair for more flair.

I'm always trying new styles / trends and that's what I love about fashion. You get to not only express who you are through clothing, but you get to play dress up and pretend to be someone you've only dreamed of. But most of the time, I'm a girl whose a fan of the classics, things that will always be on trend no matter how long ago I bought them. I'm a mix of feminine and bohemian. That's the core of my style, my personality, girl whose sweet, smart, and ladylike, but a dreamer who loves to relax and feel free.

Loves, I hope you enjoyed this post. I will talk to you later.

Recent Skin Care Faves

Soft Soap Shea Butter & Almond Oil Body Wash // Nivea In-Shower Lotion // Skin Below The Chin Body Scrub // Gud Body Wash // Gud Body Lotion

Hello loves. Sorry for my absence. Today's post is a beauty one. I thought I would share my recent skin care faves for the past month and a half. These products are amazing and budget friendly.

First up is the Soft Soap Shea Butter Body Wash. This body wash is so creamy and moisturizing. The little beads in the formula helps make the body wash more moisturizing. When I rinse this off my skin feels so soft. It also smells really relaxing. I love using this one when I shower before bed.

Next up is the Nivea In-Shower Lotion. It's amazing. I've been using this for the past 2 months. Now, I don't use this everyday. When it was colder out, I used it at least three times a week because I have really dry skin. Also I use this when I'm using regular bar soap in the shower. After you shower, slather this all over your body to soften your skin. It's truly moisturizing. My skin feels so soft after drying off.  The lotion comes in 3 levels: Normal Skin , Dry Skin, and Very Dry Skin. I use the Very Dry Skin.

So Moroccan oil is all the rage right now for skin and hair. I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try something with Moroccan oil in it. This Skin Below The Chin body scrub is really nice. There are no harsh chemical. The brand tries to focus on plant-based and naturally derived ingredients. This is a plus for me since my skin can be very sensitive to new products sometimes. It smells really clean and really scrubs the rough patches. The grains are very fine and that's awesome for not tearing the skin. If you guys get a chance please pick this one up. It's really good.

My last two products go together. The Gud Body Wash and Lotion is by Burt's Bees. I found this at my local Rite Aid. This is the most delicious smelling body wash and lotion that I own. The scent is called Pearanomal Activity. I would say it's better than the Bath and Body Works lotions and shower gels. It boasts that it is a natural body wash and lotion, and it's cruelty free. The scent lasts so long after you use it. This is Gud stuff (LOL)!

So loves tell me about the skin products you're into lately. I love finding new products. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to follow me on Bloglovin', Pinterest, and Instagram.
