Hello loves. This week has brought me a few scares (my dad's having health issues), some motivation (been writing out ideas and planning for this blog), some frustration (getting my new glasses), and happiness (being grateful for family and all that I have).
I was off from work Wednesday and this is what I wore. I was trying to be all cute, but the weather kinda killed that for me. We have a major cold front going on down here (24 degrees this morning!!!). It was in the mid 30s when we took these pictures. The wind was no joke. We may not get snow, but our winters are rarely dry. They're mostly damp, that mixed with cold winds at 15mph is enough to keep you inside all winter. It's 36 degrees right now as I'm typing this. Anyhow I was determined to get this pictures. Anything for you guys! Also I wore this dress last Easter and you can see how I styled it here.
Oh also I got my new glasses in from Firmoo.com. And let me say that I absolutely love them. This was my first time ordering glasses from offline and I'm impressed! I was worried that my prescription might get screwed up or they might be cheaply made but, they are just as good quality as my Banana Republic glasses (which finally bit the dust after 3.5 years). They have great styles to choose from and the prices are amazing. This particular pair with my prescription was $36. Yes, $36! But I didn't pay $36, I paid $17.90 total with shipping! How did I get prescription glasses for so cheap? Well, I was a first time customer. Yes, they have a program where first time customers get there first pair of glasses free. To do this sign up for an account, add your prescription, click the link for first time users and you will be forwarded to a page with a selection of glasses to choose from. Choose your pair, type in the promo code given to you, select any extras, choose your shipping method, and place your order! It's that simple. I only paid for express shipping and the added anti-reflective coating! The shipping took 5 days which is what they clearly stated. So the frustration from getting these was not with the company but with UPS. If you live in an apartment complex they don't leave your package at your door. They want a signature. This is a good thing since anyone can come up and take your package if they just leave it but, it's hard to give a signature when they always come when no one is home. I called customer service on Friday and had them hold my package at their facility for pick up on Monday. Of course they screwed it up and they tried to deliver it. So I when I got to UPS and my package wasn't there I was extremely upset, This is the second time I requested for them to do this and they screwed up again. Last time they lost my package and it had to be replaced. Sorry for the rant but my local UPS facility is getting on my nerves!
However, if you are in the market for a new pair of glasses, give them a try! I'm seriously thinking about ordering another pair. Oh and once you're a customer they send you coupon codes from time to time! So getting a new pair is so easy!
Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome weekend! I'll talk to guys again on Monday!
