Hey loves! Hope your week is going well so far. Do you ladies ever feel like mixing prints can be a bit intimidating? I sure use to. I would always stray away from wearing prints on the top and the bottom (at the same time). I always thought it to be a bit too much. As far as mixing prints, I would stray far far away from that too! With the extremely popular trend in matching print separates, I'm becoming more excited by the idea. Especially the crop top and matching midi skirt combo, loving that right now! Currently, I don't own any midi skirt/crop top combos yet, but I hope to before this summer is over with (gotta find the perfect pair). So this Forever 21 skirt (I also own it in black) is the closet thing I've got to a midi skirt and well I'm going to rock it!

I decided to pair the skirt with my striped top that I love, but rarely wear! (I've worn it here before.) The reason I rarely wear it is because it's a little short. I wish I had some really great high wasted jeans to tuck it into, but that's another outfit, for another day! Anyways, I think that the easiest way to introduce yourself to mixing prints is to start with the classics ,i.e. polka dots and stripes. Both prints aren't that busy so it makes for easy mixing. Also choose staple colors like I've chosen above. Above anything else be confident! We all know that's the true key to pulling off any outfit. So start mixing!

I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week and I will hopefully speak to you guys again on Friday. Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I realized while writing the outfit details that I'm almost in Forever 21 head to toe, LOL!

Easy and Simple

Happy Monday loves! I hope you all had  great weekend! I spent mines working, but hey it's the same old same old. Here's what I wore last Sunday while out and about. I had the afternoon off so I enjoyed it by running a few errands, then hitting the dog park with Marley. I also changed into a pair of mint green flats (not pictured) for the park. I don't get too many Sundays off, but when I do I try to relax and just soak it all in!

Hope you guys have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks Under $100

My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Top Picks Under $100

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Happy Saturday loves! I'm sure you guys have been seeing all the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale posts floating around the bloggersphere. And maybe you guys are tired of them and maybe not. If you aren't, then here's another one of those posts.

I decided to compile my top picks just as other bloggers, but I wanted to choose picks that could move you into fall and were under $100. I know that for some of us fashionistas out there, we can't just spend money on high dollar items that we covet. Most of us are on a budget, and even worse, most of us are on a college girl's budget (eeekkk!!!).  I remember those days (Ramen noodles anyone!) So if you guys are going to shop the sale, I highly suggest you check out these items, most are under $50 also!

Sale ends August 4th. Happy shopping everyone!!!!

La Vie En Rose

Dress: rue21 (old, pretty options here and here) // Jacket: New York and Company (old, similar) // Necklaces: Claire's (similar) // Ring: rue21 (similar) // Sandals: Claire's (similar) //Purse: Coach

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are well! I wanted to share what I wore with you guys on last Friday! I wanted to post these pics on Monday instead of the previous post, but I was having some issues with the memory card they were on. Luckily, I got the problem fixed yesterday! Now onto the outfit.

A maxi dress is an easy summer uniform. No trying to match the right top to the perfect bottom, just one piece. Just slip it on and you are out the door. I love this rue21 maxi dress. It combines my love of bohemian and feminine styles. I'm the biggest fan of floral prints and lace. It's saffe to say that i will continue to be a big fan for the rest of my life. It's just something about the two that make me feel beautiful. Girly, delicate, and comfy! Most wouldn't call lace comfy, but I think it is!

P.S. I hope you guys aren't tired of seeing this denim jacket. I'm just getting so much use out of it this summer. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you guys have a wonderful day and a great weekend!

Earth Goddess

Sheer top: very old, don't remember // Dress: Old Navy (old, similar) // Wedges: Body Central (old, but I like these) // Purse: Coach  // Necklaces: Claire's (similar) // Ring: Charming Charlie (old) // Sunnies: The Dollar Tree (similar) // Nails: L.A. Colors in Simply // Lips: Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm in Ingenue

Happy Monday! So I know today's post is a little photo heavy but I couldn't help it. We got so many good shots that it was hard to choose which ones to post. Theses are the ones I really love. OK, so onto the outfit.

I wore this dress while meeting my lovely photographer for lunch while he was at work. When I walked in wearing this outfit he said I look beautiful in earth tones, which is why I named this post Earth Goddess. This dress from Old Navy is another "oldie, but goodie" in my closet. The way it drapes across my body is perfect. It hugs my body in all the right places to create these subtle curves that I really don't have. Also, this dress highlights my legs amazingly! Can you believe that when I bought this dress it was a mere $4. What a steal for something so easy to style. I'm glad I purchased this dress because I have definitely gotten my wear out of it over the past 5 or 6 years!

Also the cover up was a extremely cheap sales purchase. I bought it on a whim, not really knowing what I would pair it with. But now that kimonos and sheer cover-ups are on trend right now I'm glad I got it. Also it's perfect with this dress. I can style this cover-up with a tank and some jeans to make it more casual. I'm extremely happy that most of the items in my closet are standing the test of time! Helping me stay on trend while not emptying my wallet for new stuff! Last photo was included cause I thought it was funny.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week ahead!

My One and Only Sunshine

Top & Skirt Forever21 (old, I love this ASOS skirt and this Mod Cloth skirt) // Pumps: Charlotte Russe (old) // Purse : Phillip Lim x Target (no longer available, similar) // Earrings: rue21 (old) // Necklace: Forever21 (old) Bracelet: Target // Sunnies: The Dollar Tree (similar) // Lips: Revlon in Berry Haute

Happy Friday! I hope you all have been enjoying your week so far! I 've been lots busy, but I am definitely enjoying my week. Spending a little time with family and loved ones does the soul good! Earlier this week I found out that I don't have to work Saturday morning, so I'm kinda excited. I get to sleep in. I don't get to enjoy a lot of Saturday mornings, so I'm definitely going to enjoy this one. I'm always sneaking peeks at Instagram while at work on Saturday and Sunday mornings and feeling a bit envious of others weekend morning posts. But it's okay, I have to remind myself that I'll be able to have those kind of weekends one day.

I wore this outfit out while trotting around town on a date.  I know that I may be a little overdressed for roaming the city, but hey you guys know I'm always overdressed! Always better to be overdressed than under-dressed! This is one of my most loved skirts in my closet. I almost let it go at one point, but I'm glad I didn't. I've always loved full skirts. I find that this shape is the easiest to wear and is very flattering on all figures. Full skirts are back in swing and I think they are here to stay! (and I'll continue to wear them even if they are not!)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys have and awesome weekend!

Store Love: Forever 21 Outfits Under $100

Delicate & Feminine
Top // Skirt // Wedges // Bracelet // Necklace // Rings // Bag

Casual & Bohemian
Romper // Bangles // Sandals // Ring // Hat // Bag

Hey loves! I thought I would do another store love post since I hadn't done one in a while! I wanted to share with you guys some pieces that I discovered while shopping at Forever21 a couple of weeks back. I meant to post this sooner but I got busy and decided to do my outfit posts since they were ready to go.

Honestly, who doesn't love finding pieces that are cute, on trend, and on budget! All these pieces are $30 or under, and the best part is the complete outfits are under $100! I love it when a great outfit comes together with out spending a lot. I tend to gravitate towards more feminine and bohemian pieces, so I thought these two outfits would be great inspiration! Also, most of these items happen to be on my wish list! I hope you guys enjoy this post and I will talk to you guys later! Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I know that my posts have been irregular, but my work schedule is fluctuating a lot these days. I'm trying to lock down a schedule, so please continue to comment and suggest!

Day to Night: Vedette Body Shapewear + Giveaway!

Hey loves, I hope you all have been well! I have another outfit post feat. Vedette Shapewear! This time I'm wearing a bodysuit called Veronique. Veronique comes in 2 colors: Purple and Lilac. Might I say she is a beauty. Just like with the Bettie Swimsuit I wore in this post, I thought the piece might be too small. But, after some shimmying I got it on. The bodysuit is very slimming. I felt like it just sucked everything right in, making my body a smooth canvas for any outfit! Especially for fitted dresses. One of the great things about the Veronique is that it has adjustable clasps at the bottom. This makes it so much easier when putting it on. The molded cups gives great cleavage and helps any statement necklace you wear with it standout.

Day: Shirt: Forever21 (similar) // Bodysuit: Vedette Shapewear // Jeans: Charlotte Russe // Bracelet, bag and necklace (old, New York and Company) // Sandals: rue21// Sunnies: The Dollar Tree

The challenge for this post was not only to style Veronique as outerwear, but to style it for day and night. Honestly, I had so much styling this outfit, especially the night look. I find that I have so many fancy pieces in my closet and I always want to wear them, even if the occasion does not call for them. Styling this piece was an opportunity to do that. I really focused on the accessories for these outfits. I wanted to show that with the right accessories you can take any piece in an outfit and use it for both day and night. (Which is why I kept the same necklace and bracelet on for both looks.) I know that some of you may be thinking that a denim jacket isn't dressy per say, but I think that a black blazer would have taken away from the bodysuit. Plus, the denim jacket makes the outfit more summertime appropriate.

Night: Jacket: New York and Company (old, similar) // Skirt: Forever 21 (old) // Wedges: rue21 (old, sorry couldn't find any similar to these) // Clutch: New York and Company (similar) // Belt: Claire's (similar)
