Hello all! So I was contacted by Vedette Shapewear a while back to do another review for them. To say the least, I was really excited by reviewing some more pieces by them. I absolutely loved my first pieces of shape wear and was sure I would like my new choices. The pieces I chose to review were the Judith bodysuit and the Noelle bodysuit in nude. Today I'm going to be talking about the Noelle.

The Noelle body suit has molded cups and a bikini shaped bottom, and the best part about the Noelle is that she has a hook and eye closure (similar to a bra) at the bottom. This feature makes it easy to adjust the body suit to fit your butt perfectly.  Also at the straps are removable where it connects to the molded cups. This makes it easy to adjust the straps to fit comfortably. Now, just like with the shapewear I received from them before, I expected to do some shimmying to get into it, which I did. Once it was on, it was smooth sailing. Now the challenge was to pick my fave color, choose shapewear in that color, and style it as outerwear. At first I thought, my fave colors are pink, yellow, and green. I don't think I wanna style shapewear in those colors since I barely wear those colors. So I decided that since I like blush, I would choose what's closest to it (nude) and style those accordingly. Also choosing nude gives you more options to pair your shapewear with for outwear purposes. And it makes it great to put under pieces (white fitted dresses, anyone) that may be a tad bit see-through.

I styled the Noelle two ways. One for the demure and the other for the not so demure. For the first look, I put a black shirt underneath to tone the sexiness of the bodysuit down and only used one necklace. The top also helps make Noelle wearable during fall. The second option was without the black top. Now, I'm not the most comfortable showing off my cleavage, so not to feel naked, I added another necklace to the outfit. The layering of necklaces gives me the illusion of a covered décolletage.

Anyhow, I love the overall look of the Noelle. I also see myself using the Noelle under a few sweater dresses that I have. So what do you guys think of Noelle?

Hey loves! Happy Friday!!! Showing off more summer to fall transitional pieces today. The sweatshirt and skirt combo are always an easy way to transition your summer items. Here in the great ol' state of Louisiana fall temperatures are somewhat finally deciding to show up. Mid 70s in the day and low 50s at night. What more can a girl who adores fall, chai tea lattes (new obsession!!!!), and cozy sweaters ask for?! Well dears, enjoy your weekend and I'll talk to you later! I have 2 giveaways coming to the blog soon, so watch out for that!

Do you guys own an item that you really love and got at an awesome deal? Well, this scarf is that item for me. I absolutely adore this scarf. It's one of the best cheap purchases I made. Thick and well-made! It was only five dollars and I've gotten so much use out of it in the past year! I've been wearing it everyday to work to jazz up my uniform. Sorry this post isn't that  long, but I hope you guys enjoyed it! Have a great remainder of the week and I hope to talk to you soon.

Hello loves, Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. For those that work weekdays, I hope you are refreshed and energized for your week ahead. And for those who work weekends, well I hope you are winding down!

Okay so I don't think I've ever shared how much I love sweaters to you guys. I mean I absolutely adore them. Maybe it's the way they feel, maybe it's the way they look, or maybe it's the fact that I only have a limited amount of time to wear them. Okay it's probably all three. I got this Old Navy sweater last year. It was on sale and I knew I could get lots of use out of it since I also wear navy tops to work. The cable knit pattern on the front adds great texture to my plain work tops. It makes me feel a little more dressed up and fashionable while working. I'm honestly not fond of my work uniform. So I started cuffing my pants and adding texture with scarves and necklaces. All of my customers always comment on how jazzed up my uniform is with my accessories, then when they see me in my streetwear, my fashionable items, they think I'm a another person. It's hilarious to me. Plain Jane Manager by day, Chic Fashionista by night, LOL!

Anyhow, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I hope to talk to you soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone! I hope you all have been good. So today's post is pretty simple. I wore this while running errands one morning last week. Normally when I run quick before work errands, I don't get to dressed up. This is my go to uniform an over-sized/button down shirt and jeans. It's easy and comfortable. It also makes transitioning to my work uniform much smoother. Anyways, I hope to talk to you guys soon. Thanks for stopping by!

Hey loves. Happy Monday! Sorry I didn't get in another post by the end of the week. I'm going to try my best to put up 4 this week to makeup for missing one last week. So I wore this outfit over the weekend. It was Festival de Acadiens! It's an Acadian music festival held in one of our local parks. Lots of zydeco and Cajun music. We stayed for a little bit, then proceeded to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.

When I put this outfit together, I wanted to dress fall like. It's still hot here in Louisiana, which is so frustrating. This was my way of keeping cool, while still dressing for the season. It got a little cooler later that night, so the denim jacket and boots served their intended purposes. I love this dress! I've worn it once before on the blog here. The look was very fall and cozy inspired! I hope you all have a great week ahead and I'll talk to you guys later. Thanks for stopping by.

A Turban Story

Hello all! Happy Thursday! As promised on yesterday I'm back with another post. Well, I never thought I would rock the turban trend. I really like the look, but I never felt comfortable doing it. I wore my hair like this only twice before this time. The reason why is the exact same as the first time. I washed my hair the night before and it hadn't fully dried yet.  All my natural hair girls with ultra thick locks know what I'm talking about (ugh, the struggle!!!! LOL).  The first time I put my hair up like this I was running to a summer class last year. So, I wasn't going anywhere important enough to care how it looked. The second time was that I didn't wanna mess up my freshly straightened locks before shooting my outfit (I have a pic on Instagram with the skull scarf  tied off with a center bow). This time though I was going to be out and about (Checking out our new J.Crew Factory for one! I got my fingers crossed that I win that $200 gift card!).

Anyhow, I asked the BF and the Bestie if it looked OK and they both approved. I was really self-conscious about it, but as the day progressed I realized that it looked hella stylish, and it was a chance to show off my facial features. Now I wanna buy a bigger wrap/scarf so I can make a huge knot at the top! So what do you guys think of my turban style?
