Hey loves! I hope you all have been well. I have an exciting piece to share with you guys today! A few days ago Vedette Shapewear sent me an exciting package. I honestly felt like I had been waiting forever because, I could not wait to style the items I received.

This is one of the first pieces I received. This top is actually a swimsuit. Yes, it's a swimsuit! Who knew that a swimsuit could be used a regular outerwear! The swimsuit is called the Bette Slimming Swimsuit, and might I say it is gorgeous! I must admit though, when I first tried it on I was scared that maybe I was sent the wrong size and it wouldn't fit. But after some shimmying, it fit amazing! I love that the piece works great as outerwear and as a stand alone swimsuit. I've always been a fan of one-piece swimwear. I like to stay covered up for the most part while at the beach. I'm also a fan of covered bottoms, which this swimsuit has. Overall, Bette reminds me of the swimsuits you saw in the fifties. Bette also makes me appreciate my bottom just a little more. The best part about Vedette's shapewear is that it's not meant to cover your body or fix flaws, but made to embrace the things you love most about your body. Whether it's a great butt, long legs, or ample breast, the idea is to not hide these things, but love them because they are apart of who you are and what makes you unique.

Okay onto the really exciting part Vedette has decided to give away a surprise piece of their shapewear to three lucky Charming Xanadu readers. All you you have to do to enter is:

Happy Saturday loves. If you've been following my blog or Instagram since last year, then you've seen this dress before. I wore it to my besties college graduation last May. The pictures weren't the best quality since I only used my iPhone. Well here I am again, restyling the same dress.Last time I wore my denim jacket over the dress for coverage, but since Louisiana has been scorching hot these days I opted for a light cardigan.I normally don't wear cut-out or backless dresses but this one was too cute to pass up. I think it's just a great summer dress!

By the way can you guys tell that I seem to be having a blue moment and print moment lately. Somehow this color always grabs my attention on the rack. What do you guys think of the the dress? Do you love the back or no? Do you have that one color you seem to be gravitating towards lately? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to discuss with you!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Birds of a Feather

Dress: Charlotte Russe (old, I love this ASOS one
and this Delia's one), Sandals: Gap (old), Purse: Phillip Lim x Target (no longer available) Earrings: New York and Company (old) Ring: Charming Charlie (similar), Necklace: Claire's (old, but these by J.Crew and Mod Cloth are adorable), Sunglasses: Dollar Tree (similar)

Happy Thursday loves. I hope you all are enjoying your week so far. So I must say that I do enjoy a good print and it's even better if it's on a dress. I wore this dress for a casual date at Starbucks. Nothing to fancy, but just enough pretty to give an airy romantic look. I think that the billowy sleeves feed into that romantic vibe and the print screams quirky. I love the bird print on this Charlotte Russe Dress, which is 3 years old by the way. The birds are massive and its not very ordinary, which is what attracted me to the dress.  What do you guys think? Do you love the bird print or is it to bold of a print for you?

As always, thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a great weekend ahead!

Somewhere in the Country

Happy Tuesday all! Today's post is short. I met a friend for lunch on Thursday and this is what I wore. The lunch was pretty casual, but I just love to dress up. I know the quality of these photos aren't as great as my usual. My regular photographer (my mom) wasn't available, so I had my friend shoot the outfit. I didn't get too many great photos, but I wanted to show you guys my outfit. It's okay though. My friend is slowly getting better. We shot a few more outfit pics for the rest of the week and its getting better.

Anyways, I went for a casual vibe. I seem to be doing that a lot lately. These jeans are one of the few printed pants that I own. I styled another pair that own here. I remember that I didn't really like printed pants in the past. For some reason they looked odd to me. Now I'm actually loving printed pants. My Instagram feed is filled with them, so I see why I'm falling in love with them. All the bloggers that I'm following seem to be finding the perfect balance in styling printed pants/denim. I think my problem is that I have to find the right pattern in the right cut. I'm mostly attracted to the printed pants that are skinny or fitted. These Old Navy jeans aren't to bold of a print and can be styled a little easier than bolder ones.

Hope you all have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Sunday. I hope the weekend is treating you all well. I've been enjoying mine so far. It's the first weekend in a long time where i have the entire weekend off. I must say that it feels so nice. To actually mingle with my friends who are mostly off during the weekends. I wore this simple dress yesterday for a casual vibe. Also, I've been waiting to where this hat for a long time. I've had this Forever 21 hat for sometime. I bought in the hopes that I would wear it to the beach or during vacation, but I never wore it. Well, I saw Tamryn from Wannabe Fashion Blogger wearing her big black hat on her blog and I was inspired to wear mines. And I'm so glad I did. I think it turned out great. What do you guys think? Do you like how I styled my hat?

A Date with Leopard

Hello loves, Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are getting along well. I bought this Old Navy Dress at the beginning of May, and thought it would be the perfect to versatile dress. I love the style of the dress. The lines are simple and classic, but the color makes this dress very lovable. It actually was the color of the dress that attracted me to it. Also the dress can be worn casually with sneakers/sandals and a cardigan (bonus). My bestie was shopping with me, and saw me try this dress on. My hair was in a high bun and I had a statement necklace on, and she said I looked very Audrey Hepburn. And since Audrey is one of my fashion icons, I thought it was such a great compliment and I must buy the dress. She also thought it would be a great date dress and well that's why I'm wearing this dress. I enjoyed dinner with a friend even though we spent like 30 min riding around trying to find a place to eat. Every place we went to was packed. We joked about it being National Eat Out Day, because it was a Tuesday and normally restaurants aren't that busy on Tuesdays.

Anyhow, I hope you all have a great rest of the week ahead. As always, thanks for stopping by.
