Wood Nymphs Exist

Hello everyone! Yesterday was the second day of the Festival Internationale de Louisiane. I always look forward to the festival every year but somehow forgot about until a friend ask me to go. I think it forgot due to Easter being so late this year. The festival takes over downtown Lafayette. There's always good food, live music, and great vendors. I look forward to the crawfish spinach boats the most! They are a thing of amazement!

Anyways, this is the outfit I wore. It was the perfect weather for a romper! My Instagram feed still has some post Coachella nostalgia running, filled with rompers and playsuits galore. Rompers are great for spring/summer festivals, non? So why not a romper! Then I did a variation of a headband/scarf roll hairstyle I found by browsing Pinterest, the day before. After I put the headband in my hair, I thought I was reminiscent of a wood nymph/fairy, henceforth, the name of the post. What do you guys think? Do I look nymph-like?

Easter Sunday

Hello loves! I hope you all amazing Easter weekend. I wore this ensemble to church and for the rest of the day. I had sandals, in the same color as the heels, to put on for after church. The service was great! I honestly, felt like I had forgotten what it was like to be in church on Sunday morning before arriving.  Since I work weekends, all day Saturday and Sunday, I hadn't  been to church in a while. My store was open for Easter, but I decided to take off, because I rarely get to see my family and I really wanted to go to church. And I'm glad I did!

I've noticed that lately, I've been buying lots of blue items and Old Navy has lots of them, which is where this adorable dress is from. I'm glad to see that fit and flare dresses are trending this season. I've always loved this style of dress. Most dresses I've seen in this style over the years ( with an affordable price tag) have been too short for my taste. But this year Old Navy saved the day! I have this dress in chartreuse green also. I can't wait to style that one. I got them both on sale for $15 each. With that price, I want to buy every color, but I must control myself! One must not go overboard! honestly Old Navy has become one of my fave stores! They hit all my check marks: (1)quality clothing, (2)classic silhouettes, (3) trendy colors, (4) dresses/shorts that are not too short, and (5) all at such an affordable price!  Also Old Navy always has a sale, I rarely pay full price for anything! As always, thanks for reading.

P.S. I'm sorry if this post sounds like and advertisement for Old Navy. It's not. I just really love that store and have found great pieces in the last few shopping trips!

Mint Blue Condition

Another short post content wise due to the fact that I have work early in the morning. As always, thanks for stopping by!
P.S. I thought I would post a fun photo (last one) since my lil sis insisted on it!

Chartreuse Who?

Hey loves! I 'm bringing you guys a new outfit post. In my last post i mentioned that it was 54 degrees here in central Louisiana. Right now we shouldn't be having any chilly weather but mother nature has her own plans. The weather today was not much better, the teperature was 63. Although the temperature was much higher, the wind still made it rather chilly. Even thought the weather was not spring like, I still wanted to dress spring like. What better way to do than wearing a bright top and a vibrant lip. I originally wanted to wear this chartreuse top I got from Old Navy not to long ago, (it was a steal at $1.97) with a blue skirt. Due to the weather, I opted for blue corduroy pants instead of a blue skirt.

I honestly had so much fun shooting this outfit! I wanted to thank my friend Neira. She took these photos for me and she had me cracking up the whole time (henceforth the cheesy smiles). Needless to say I have so many blooper type photos on my computer now!

Instagram Roundup Pt. 1

Hey loves, hope all is well! I wanted to do a post showing you guys some of my outfits that made it to Instagram but never to my blog. If you have been following me on Instagram for that long then you have already seen these, but if not here is a re-cap. This post will be in two or three parts. Most of these pics are form this past fall going into winter. I don't want to bombard you guys with a bunch of photos. OOTDs going back to August is a lot. I really didn't have time to do full shoots on these outfits due to school and work. (I graduated in December.) But I still wanted to share these outfits with you guys because I had real fun styling them. I hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Hey loves. Here's another casual/comfy outfit for road trips/ long car rides. I had to make another trip to Baton Rouge so I needed to dress for comfort. This is one of my all time favorite button downs and I've had it for years. I love the crisp green and white pinstripes. I think it's perfect for dressing up or down (I prefer dressing it down)! Skinny jeans and a button down are my go to outfit (most likely a plaid or check print one) for an easy casual day.

Happy Friday, and I hope you all have a wonderful upcoming weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Serious Lounging

Utility Jacket: Charming Charlie (old) // Tank: Forever21, Pants: Target (here)// Sandals: Claire's (old, similar here)// Purse: Coach// Watch: New York and Company(old)// Bracelet: Target (on clearance in store now)// Earrings: Rue21 (on clearance in stores now)// Sunnies: Forever21// Gemini Necklace: Charming Charlie (old)

Hello loves! I hope all is going well with you all. So today I had to run some errands in Baton Rouge, and I decided to wear something very comfortable. I found these pajama/ lounge type pants recently while browsing the clearance racks at Target. I've never been big on this trend. I remember when I first saw the pajama/ lounge pants trend, I thought to myself, "How ugly! I would never wear those!" Well, never say never, right?

Now, I've had friends and co-workers wear this trend. I have one former co-worker that wears this trend effortlessly! And she does it in the boldest prints. She has a knack for styling the trendiest, outrages pieces and making them work. I think her killer confidence has something to do with it. So when I saw these pants on sale for $5.98 I figured it wouldn't hurt to try this trend, and if they didn't work out they would end up as regular lounge pants. I must admit it was the print that attracted me then I looked at the silhouette. I almost put them back, but I'm glad I kept them. They are really comfy, and have an ease about them. I can't wait to figure out new ways to style this unique piece with other items in my closet. i hope you guys enjoyed this post! and if you haven't tried this trend, I suggest you do, but get a pair in a print that you really are attracted to, and that you can see pairing with other items that already exists in your closet. That way you won't feel like you have to buy extra tops or accessories to your closet just to incorporate this trend!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
P.S. The pants are priced higher on the website, so try to hit up your local Target first in case you wanna
get the same pair I have.
