A Week Of Dress Up

So these are the ensembles I wore this past week. I don't know what came over me, but I felt the need to really get dolled up! Even though, the only places I was going was to school and work! I even did my makeup! Some of these items you've seen in previous posts others are new. Please excuse the random mirror shot with boxes! I was rushing out the door in the morn and couldn't get any shots. Therefore, I took a random one while at work! And you guys get to see where I work! I'm still waiting to hear about the apartment though. I'm calling them tomorrow to find out what's up.

Wednesday I didn't dress up, and Saturday was my university's homecoming game so I wore jeans and tank. I went to the Festival Acadiana in the park after the game, and enjoyed a relaxed night out with my friend Lauren in the downtown/bar area of the city! Today was a lazy Sunday. So all in all I had a good weekend! Wish I could do it every weekend! Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend.

Flea Market Sunday

Hello there. Long time since I last did a post I know, but hey life gets hectic! I was off last Sunday and I wanted to share what I wore with you guys. My mom and I went to two different flea markets. I had fun listening to my mom talk about all the things she remembered having or using as we looked around.
I rarely get to go to flea markets! The purpose of me going was to look for furniture for the apartment I'm suppose to be getting. Hopefully I get a call back this week saying I have it. My home style consists of french farmhouse & shabby chic! Hopefully I can find furniture and home decor for cheap to reflect that. I may have to do some DIY projects to get exactly what I want. So I hope everyone enjoyed their last Sunday!

Teal Me Away

Just bringing you guys another outfit update. I wore this to work like last Sunday! I saw this teal dress on the mannequin at New York & Co. a while back and just had to have it! I used to work there years ago. I love that store. I mean half my clothes are from there anyways! But thank god I don't work there anymore cause I would be flat broke! I remember always getting in 1 size run of a dress and there only being one size 2 in the run. I f I liked the dress, I would put it to the side the hide it in the back until we got paid so no one else could get it! That's pretty much how I got all my clothes from there! Gosh that was such a bad habit.

Okay everyone, I took these pics like a week and a half ago! I know, they should have been posted but I've just been busy with preparing for school.

The dress I'm wearing is not really a dress. It's a maxi skirt I bought about two years ago. It's been extremely hot lately and I wanted to wear a dress to work but was tired of all my dresses in my closet that day. So I looked at my skirt and thought why not make this into a dress. I didn't have a dress in my closet this color and wanted one, but I didn't wanna spend money! So voila! There you have it, a cute strapless midi dress. I recently bought the belt on sale and thought it would go perfect to cinch in the waist. Another way I'm thinking of wearing this skirt/dress is to take the belt away and wear a crochet vest over it, paired with some wedges. That way it's still cool and summery. And to transition it into the fall I can pair it with some black pumps and my trusty black blazer. I know fall is technically like a month away, but hey, this is Louisiana we're talking about here! The state where you only get like 2-3 weeks of fall weather, which comes between mid October to mid November, a long winter, 2-3 weeks of spring weather, then a long hot, scorching summer!

Hello! Just giving you guys another post. I wore this last week sometime! Can't remember what day! I know I was off though cause this is not how I dress for work. I wore this because I knew I would be playing with my little cousins. I know I should probably post the pics on the day they are taken. I think I need to get better about that! I had dinner with a friend this day also! We hadn't hung out in a while due to our busy schedules, we are both retail managers, so it was nice to catch up. We sorta compared notes on our lives in a way. She is in a good place and I'm getting to a good place. She's planning on moving and I'm happy for her! Another state, a bigger city= better opportunities! Now all I gotta do is work on moving myself! I'll get there, I know I will!

PS. I'm too excited about school! Are any of you?

Don't You Just Love Thursdays

Dress: Charlotte Russe

Earrings & Flower Clip: Claire's

Hey there! This post was suppose to be before the previous one but I couldn't find the pics. Well I found them and here they are! I wore this outfit last Thursday, the 5th. I went to lunch with a friend and it was good. Although she said I messed up her diet because of where I chose for us to eat. Side Note- Diet foods/low calories foods and I do not get along! They taste awful!!! Maybe that's my Louisiana taste buds talking but hey that's how I feel!! Also, if you guys were wondering where my bangs went, these pictures were taken before I cut my bangs. There is just something I love about the cream color of this dress. It's sweet and simple all at the same time!

PS- I also got new specs (glasses)! They are Banana Republic and I love everything about them!!!!

Hi lovelies! So this past Sunday, as you can tell in the photos I got bangs!!! I absolutely love them. And what I love the most about them is that they are DIY! Yes dear readers I cut these myself And they came out just the way i wanted them to! It's weird though, cause now I feel like I have this whole new confidence about myself. I feel sparkly and brand new. I had been contemplating cutting my hair for weeks/months but never had the courage to do it. So this is my way of updating my look without doing something overly severe. Also guys school starts back in a little over a week. I'm so excited to sit back in the classroom since work has been like hell for the past month. I can't wait to see my professors and see if they are exciting or boring!! I'm taking a history class and a psych class! Everyone says history is so boring, and that they hate it! It is actually one of my faves. There's nothing like hearing and reading about events of the past! And if you have the right professor, like I had the first round of college, then its purely icing on top of the cake!!!!!

Pensacola Beach, FL Day 2

This was my second and last day on the beach! I truly had fun. I could have just stayed on that beach all night. After we left the beach we stopped by souvenir shops and boutiques on the island. It was very beautiful and lively. Lots of music and relaxing! Anyways, hope you enjoyed this post. Oh and the swimsuit I was wearing in the "Day 1" post is from Old Navy.
